Current Research Projects:

Freelance Researcher: Lead researcher for a book about early twentieth century Canadian poets. Project scope includes locating publications in which specific articles, editorials and poetry first appeared, researching biographical information on the poets – including locating private letters and diaries – as well as finding descendants of the central poets in the book for interview purposes.
Previous Research Projects:

Freelance Researcher: Located supporting documentation for a unique research focus for a Canada Research Chair nomination in Aboriginal Arts & Literature. Also assisted with editing the successful application.

Genealogical Researcher: Researched family histories for a variety of clients, accessing provincial and national archives, libraries, courthouses, museum archives, specialized databases and internet resources, conducting interviews, visiting cemeteries, and other resources as required.

Editorial Researcher: In-house researcher for fabjob.com, publisher of career guides. Lead researcher and writer for The fabjob Guide to Become a Private Investigator, part of the research and writing team for "Become an Olympic Athlete," and provided supporting research, fact-checking, and editing for a wide variety of other career guides.

Research Assistant/Documents Manager: Provided supporting research for an environmental law firm, offering data searches and information retrieval for in-house counsel, as well as for outside expert witnesses. Also edited and proofread reports and acted as the firm's librarian.

Student Researcher: Assistant on Equine Heart Rate Variability Study at the Ontario Veterinary College. Targeted horses for study and collected ECG data for analysis, also responsible for library research and collection of bibliographic references.

Writer, Editor, Researcher: Researched and wrote articles on veterinary medicine for student publication. Read my article on the Adverse Effects of NSAIDs in horses, published in the Equine Club News at the Ontario Veterinary College.
